Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced NICU RN with a California RN license for a day shift position in a Level III/IV NICU in Pomona, CA. Requirements include active CA RN license, BLS/NRP, at least 2 years NICU experience, ventilator and line management, and neonatal abstinence management.

Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills and neonatal feeding management experience are required. Travelers welcome with competitive pay, housing support, and travel reimbursements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside care to critically ill neonates in a Level III/IV NICU.
• Maintain 1:1 and 1:2 patient ratios as needed.
• Work day shift: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 3x12-hour shifts.
• Adhere to strict dress code and facility policies.
• Support travelers and integrate with local staff as required.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN with a CA RN license for a day shift position in a Level III/IV NICU.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Experience with ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) required
• Experience with UAC/UVC, central line, and arterial line management required
• Experience with IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroid administration required
• Experience managing neonatal abstinence syndrome required
• Experience with feeding management (bottle, breast, gavage) and oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tube placement required
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE required
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Any charting system experience accepted

Responsibilities

• Work in a NICU III/IV setting
• Patient population includes neonates <24-28 weeks gestation
• Patient ratios of 1:1 and/or 1:2
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Provide direct bedside care to critically ill neonates in a Level III/IV NICU
• Strict dress code enforced: no facial hair, acrylic nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings other than small earlobe earrings, or exposed tattoos
• First time travelers will be considered with strong clinical experience
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted at the standard bill rate
