Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a travel RN for a Level III NICU assignment in California. A CA RN license and NRP certification are required, with at least 3 years of Level III NICU experience.

The unit is a 21-bed NICU on the 4th floor with a flexible 37-bed capacity, offering 12-hour shifts, on-call rotations, and a generous housing allowance along with travel and licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• NRP certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of Level III NICU experience required.
• Ability to care for infants ranging from Level I to Level III acuity.
• Delivery experience preferred.
• Postpartum floating experience preferred.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration.
• Candidates must not have employment gaps of 90+ days in the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Work in the NICU (4th floor, Vintage Building).
• Unit has 21 beds, flexing up to 37, with 60 total staff.
• Day and night shifts with 1 charge nurse and 10 nurses.
• Patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 depending on acuity.
• EMR systems Meditech and CPN in use.
• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Floating to Postpartum required.
• On-call at least every other rotation.
• Performs line placements and intubations.
• Energetic personality fit for a fast-paced unit.
• Purple scrubs required by unit dress code.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility for travel position eligibility.
• No local candidates will be considered.
