American Traveler is seeking a Level III NICU RN for a 13-week day shift assignment in New Mexico. The ideal candidate has 2 years of Level III NICU experience and an active RN license (Compact or NM) with BLS and NRP certification.

You will care for neonates from preterm to term on a teaching hospital unit, with a typical patient ratio around 1:3 and occasional 1:4 during surges. Travel experience preferred; living housing support and travel reimbursements are included.

Qualifikationen

• Active RN license (Compact or NM) required.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience required.
• Proficiency with IV vasopressors required.
• Experience with High Frequency Ventilation required.
• Experience with High Flow Nasal Cannula required.
• Experience managing Respiratory Distress Syndrome required.
• Ventilator management experience required (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP).
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Pending license accepted.

Aufgaben

• Level I Trauma, teaching children\'s hospital NICU setting.
• Mixed acuity unit caring for Level 3 and Level 4 NICU patients.
• Patient population ranges from neonates under 23 weeks to full term newborns.
• Typical patient ratio is 1:3, with occasional 1:4 during surge periods.
• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30.
• Required to work 12 weekend shifts per contract.
• No on-call requirements.
• Float required within scope to Pediatric ICU, Level II NICU, and MBU.
• Uses Cerner charting system.
• Provide critical care nursing to neonatal patients across varying acuity levels including Level 4 NICU care.
• Must be willing to float to Pediatric ICU as needed to meet facility needs.
• Black scrub color required.
• No holiday RTO for December start dates.
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holiday bundles: Thanksgiving/day after, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, or New Year\'s Eve/New Year\'s Day.
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval.
• COVID vaccine is optional, but candidates must upload vaccination series or declination.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility.
• Non-local candidates must have a driver\'s license on file reflecting a non-local address.
