Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift at a Level 3 Trauma Center. This travel position requires an IA or Compact RN license and Heparin experience, with familiarity using Epic EMR.

Responsibilities include 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts (3x12 or 4x12), every other weekend, a 6:1 patient ratio on the 8 SW Neuro‑Ortho unit, floating to other med-surg units, and holiday blackout periods. Navy blue scrubs and a driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license Iowa or Compact
• Active BLS certification
• Active NIHSS certification
• Minimum 1.5+ years RN experience
• Heparin experience
• Valid driver's license
• Supervisory reference form completed within last 2 years
• Skills checklist Med Surg/Tele required

Responsibilities

• Night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) 3x12 or 4x12
• Every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Level 3 Trauma Center on 8 SW Neuro-Ortho unit
• Patient ratio 6:1
• Neuro/Ortho and Med Surg cases
• Floating to other med-surg units
• Uses Epic EMR
• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Navy blue scrubs color required
• Must be at least 50 miles from facility; no local candidates
• Work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
• Holiday blackout period: 1 day off
• Past UPH employees ineligible for travel assignments in another market for 12 months
• First-time travelers welcome
