American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for night shift in North Carolina, requiring 2 years MS/Tele experience and NC or compact RN licensure. BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certifications and Epic EMR proficiency are required.

The role takes place in a Level III Trauma Center with 733 beds, night shifts 4x12 hours, and 1:5-6 patient ratios. Every other weekend is required, with floating to affiliated campuses and no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• No background or license actions within the past 12 months.
• SSN and DOB required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a Level III Trauma Center teaching hospital.
• 733 staffed beds.
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00).
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6.
• Every other weekend required.
• No on-call requirements.
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including affiliated campuses.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Travelers must float to affiliated campuses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center teaching hospital
• 733 staffed beds
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including affiliated campuses
• Uses Epic charting system
• Scrub color is royal blue and white
• Maximum of 4 days RTO permitted unless otherwise approved
• Only one major holiday RTO request permitted
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Night shift travelers may extend their contract up to two times (three contracts total) before needing to wait six months to reapply
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the main campus are not eligible for this position
• Travelers must be willing to float within the hospital or affiliated campuses based on staffing needs
