American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment in Iowa. Requires 2+ years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience and an active IA or compact RN license, plus BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications.

EPIC EMR experience is required; first-time travelers with at least 3 years of nursing experience are welcome. Travel-rate eligibility requires a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Qualifications

• Active RN license IA or compact.
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Tele or Med/Tele experience.
• First-time travelers with at least 3 years of nursing experience.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• One supervisory reference within the past 2 years.
• Must not have been employed by the facility in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Center for Acute Care unit within an acute care hospital setting.
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts with an 1845 start time.
• Every third weekend coverage required.
• No on-call requirements.
• Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required.
• Uses EPIC EMR system.
• Manages drips including cardiac, heparin, and insulin with titration.
• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
• Facility is a Level 3 trauma center.
• Holiday coverage required; working 1-2 of 3 major holidays.
• Orientation held every Monday.
• Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
