American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and an active MD or Compact RN license.

This travel assignment includes a 3x12 (or 4x12) schedule, night hours 20:00–08:30, and every other weekend, with floating to related units as needed. Perks include housing reimbursement and benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required.
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required.
• CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version only) required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• 2 years of recent RN experience required.
• Prior travel experience required (subject to manager discretion).
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management.
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care/wound vac.

Aufgaben

• Med/Surg Tele unit with adult and geriatric patient population.
• Average daily census of 40-42 across 22 rooms/42 beds.
• Patient ratio of 1:5.
• Night shift, 3x12 schedule (4x12 also accepted), 20:00-08:30.
• Every other weekend required.
• Floating required within specialty, sister units, and lower acuity areas as needed.
• No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Provide nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Tele unit.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled.
• First-time travelers will be considered at manager discretion.
• Locals must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible unless otherwise specified.
• Returning staff must have a 12-month break from the health system before returning as a traveler.
• Returning travelers must have at least a 6-month break from the system after completing an assignment.
• Maximum of 7 days RTO may be requested; more than 4 consecutive days require additional week.
