American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Stepdown/Med-Surg night shift position requiring a WV or compact RN license and 3 years of experience.

Role involves Stepdown/Med-Surg care on a 20-bed unit with 12-hour night shifts, no on-call, no float, and EPIC EMR usage. Eligible travelers outside a 50-mile radius may qualify for travel rate, with generous housing and licensure reimbursements.

Formación

• Active WV or compact RN license is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA).
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required.
• Stepdown experience required.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Unexpired driver's license copy required for consideration.
• Any licensing history issues must be disclosed at time of consideration.

Responsabilidades

• Stepdown/Med-Surg unit with 20 beds in an acute care setting.
• Stepdown ratio of 1:3 and floor ratio of 1:5-6.
• Patient population includes respiratory issues, weakness, UTI, AKI, and chest pain.
• RNs required to titrate drips including Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and amiodarone.
• Telemetry monitored on unit with strip reading by RNs.
• RT equipment used includes CPAP, BiPap, and high flow.
• Unit supported by a House Supervisor and 2 nurse aides per shift.
• Uses EPIC EMR.
• 12-hour night shifts with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
• Holiday rotation required (evening or day).
• No call or standby requirement.
• No floating required.
• Provide stepdown/med-surg level nursing care including drip titration and telemetry monitoring.
• Royal blue scrubs required per dress code.
• Unit-specific orientation provided.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate, local candidates not accepted.
• Returning travelers to WVU Medicine facilities must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying.
• Travelers may not work within WVU Medicine system for longer than one year without taking a 2-year break.
• Candidates can only be submitted to one WVU facility at a time.
