American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg Float Pool position in Colorado. Requirements include an active CO license, BLS, 2+ years acute care, and Epic charting experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Float pool position within the Med-Surg/Tele unit and ED Surge support at a hospital
• Support the ED by caring for patients awaiting inpatient bed placement
• Floats to other acute care units throughout the hospital when ED support is not needed
• May float to sister facilities within the metro region
• Inpatient units average 36 beds; ED hold area up to 30 beds
• Day shifts 4-5:1; nights 5-6:1; ratios may flex with staffing
• Rotating 3x12 shifts, nights 19:00-07:30 and days 07:00-19:30, weekends
• Uses Epic for charting
• Navy scrub color required
• Care for Med-Surg/Tele and ED holding patients, including cardiac monitoring, wound care, and respiratory support
• Complete facility-specific modules within first week
• Not open to first-time travelers
• Local candidates within 75 miles eligible for local pay rate

Requirements

• Must be comfortable working in environments with flexible, flexing staffing ratios
• Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management, PCA and Heparin protocol administration, isolation precautions/PPE, respiratory care including oxygen administration and tracheostomy care, and renal failure management

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates within the last two years will not be considered
• Returning travelers who completed a full year on assignment may not be rebooked for at least one year
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during high-census holiday and peak travel weeks
• No blocked scheduling requests allowed
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for the local pay rate
