American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Float RN for night shifts in a high-volume teaching hospital setting in Louisiana. Requires 2+ years RN experience, 1 year Epic charting, and 2+ years travel nursing experience; BLS is required.

Formación

• Active LA RN license or Compact license at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Minimum 1 year of Epic charting experience
• 2+ years of travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and CPI certifications preferred
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line and PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Respiratory care with BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, HFNC, ABG interpretation preferred
• Cardiac monitoring, telemetry and rapid response/code team participation preferred
• Neurological and post-surgical care (CVA, TBI, spinal cord injury) preferred
• Oncology, cardiovascular, and plastics patient populations preferred
• Two recent supervisor references required for consideration

Responsabilidades

• Float position covering Med/Surg and Med/Surg Tele units
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Staffing ratio of 1:6, with experience in 1:5-6 ratios preferred
• Epic charting system required
• Provide direct patient care across multiple Med/Surg and telemetry units as part of a float pool team
• Strict maximum RTO of 5 days during the assignment
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at local rate
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles to qualify for local consideration
• Former permanent employees of the health system must wait at least 1 year before being eligible for travel assignments
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
