American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a rehabilitation hospital setting in Washington. First-time travelers are welcome. Requires WA or compact RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience with Epic charting.

Responsibilities include day shifts, patient ratios of 1:6–8, and potential travel to sister facilities within the region. Epic EMR is used for documentation.

Formación

• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills.
• IV therapy, phlebotomy and peripheral line care.
• Respiratory care including oxygen administration.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use.
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years.

• Weekend work required—minimum every other weekend.
• Float between units as needed.
• No on-call responsibilities.

• Scrubs of any color accepted across units.
• Provide direct patient care in Med/Surg in a teaching hospital setting.
• May float to sister facilities in the region.
• First-time travelers welcome.

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a rehabilitation hospital setting, open to first-time travelers, requiring at least 1 year of experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
• Respiratory care skills including nasal cannula use, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper PPE use
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Medical Surgical unit within a rehabilitation hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Patient ratios of 1:6-8
• Weekend work required as needed, minimum every other weekend
• Floating between units required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Scrubs of any color accepted across all units
• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg unit within a teaching hospital environment
• May be required to float to sister facilities within the region
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates living within 50 miles may be accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff, including location and dates
• Commitment to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) is required
• All time off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
