American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a day shift in Albuquerque, NM. Requires active NM or Compact RN license and at least 1 year of nursing experience. BLS certification is required; CPI preferred. Epic charting experience is a plus and a variety of nursing duties will be performed in a hospital Med/Surg unit.

The role offers 4x12 hour days, 6:30–19:00 shifts, with 36/48 hour weeks and several travel-focused benefits for housing, reimbursements, and per diem.

Qualifications

• Active NM or Compact RN license; NM/Compact accepted if obtained prior to start.
• BLS certification required; CPI preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Skill in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central/PICC line management.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital.
• Maintain patient ratio of 1:6.
• Day shift: 4x12 hours, 6:30–19:00.
• 36 or 48 hour weekly options.
• 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.
• Float to units of equal acuity with orientation.
• Provide comprehensive Med/Surg care across GI, renal, post-surgical cases.
• First-time travelers welcome with 24 months of experience.
• No travel pairs or groups; reside outside 50 mile radius.

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a day shift position requiring a NM or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending NM/Compact accepted if obtained prior to start
• BLS certification required, CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management required
• Respiratory care skills including chest tube management, oxygen administration, and airway management required
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE required
• Familiarity with renal failure and pre/post hemodialysis management required
• Experience with colostomy/ileostomy and feeding tube care required
• Medication administration experience with heparin, insulin, and PCA required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 6:30 to 19:00
• 36 or 48 hour weekly options available
• 6 weekend shifts required within a 6 week period
• Float to units of equal acuity as needed with brief orientation provided
• Provide comprehensive Med/Surg nursing care across a variety of patient conditions including gastrointestinal, renal, and post-surgical cases
• First-time travelers welcome to apply provided they have at least 24 months of nursing experience
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility as locals are not accepted
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
