American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Medical Surgical unit. This 13-week assignment is in Rutherfordton, NC, with a 1:6 patient ratio and a 7:00 AM–7:30 PM shift. You must have an active NC/Compact RN license and BLS certification, plus 2+ years MS experience.

The role requires IV and NG insertion capability, strong critical thinking, and solid communication skills. Travel pay rates apply for those residing 60+ miles away; LifePoint tenure rules may apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Skilled in IV and NG tube insertion.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills requested.

Responsibilities

• 13-week assignment in a 143-bed acute care hospital setting.
• Medical Surgical Combination unit with 18 beds.
• Patient ratio of 1:6.
• Shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Every other weekend required.
• No on-call requirements.
• Float to any Med/Surg area within scope.
• Uses Meditech EHR system.
• Must reside 60 miles or more from facility for travel pay rate.
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within last 12 months.
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time.
• All required certifications must be obtained prior to start.
