Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in North Carolina. The candidate must hold an active NC or compact RN license and have at least 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience.

This 13-week travel assignment in an 86-bed acute care hospital requires a 1:6 patient ratio, night hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and weekend rotations. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or compact) required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required).
• Minimum 2+ years of Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Medical Surgical competencies required.
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical Combination unit of an 86-bed acute care hospital.
• 24-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio.
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• 13-week assignment.
• Weekend rotation required every other or every third weekend.
• Floating required based on unit rotation.
• No on-call requirements.
• Uses Paragon EHR system.
• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical surgical patients across a variety of diagnoses.
• Work under the supervision of the unit's nurse manager.
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate.
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months.
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
