American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in North Carolina. Cerner EMR experience and at least 2 years of Med/Surg nursing are required.

Active NC license, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and AHA certifications are needed. Day shift 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, every other weekend, 1:6 patient ratio, with housing allowance and travel/licensure reimbursements.

Aufgaben

• Medical/Surgical unit on 4 North with 18 beds.
• Adult/geriatric patient population with COPD, GI bleed, diabetes, wound care, sepsis.
• Patient ratio 1:6.
• Uses Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and PCA pumps.
• Day shift 7:00 AM–7:00 PM; every other weekend; no call.
• Floating to surgical, neuro, and intermediate units; med/surg level patients.
• Provide direct patient care with strong advocacy and teamwork.
• Must be a strong team player to keep pace on a fast-moving unit.
• Scrubs of any color accepted.
• Travelers must live 60 miles or greater from the facility for travel rate; local rate for those within that radius.
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment.

Responsibilities

• 355-bed acute care hospital with Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, Lung Center, Orthopedics, General & Vascular Surgery, Surgical Weight Loss, Women's Center, and Level 3 NICU
• Medical Surgical unit located on 4 North with 18 beds
• Adult/geriatric patient population with common diagnoses including COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, diabetic complications, wound care, pancreatitis, sickle cell crisis, end of life/hospice care, falls, weakness, and sepsis
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses Baxter IV pumps, SCD machines, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and PCA pumps
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Day shift schedule 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating as needed to surgical, neuro, and intermediate units taking med surg level patients
• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg floor requiring strong patient advocacy and teamwork
• Must be a strong team player able to keep pace on a fast-moving unit
• Scrubs of any color accepted
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate; local rate available for those within that radius
• Travelers cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Must start orientation on one of the designated 2026 start dates: November 9, November 16, or December 7
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
