American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg assignment in North Carolina. The role requires NIHSS, ACLS, and BLS certifications, with at least one year of RN experience and one completed travel assignment.

You must hold an active NC or Compact RN license and be able to start IVs, insert Foley catheters and NG tubes. The 48-bed inpatient unit operates 7A-7P with every other weekend, and there is no on-call requirement.

Qualifications

• NIHSS, ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience with at least 1 travel assignment.

Responsabilités

• Medical Surgical unit in acute care hospital.
• 48-bed unit with 1:6 patient ratio and high turnover.
• 7A–7P shift with every other weekend.
• Occasional float to inpatient rehab or ER as needed.
• No on-call requirements.
• Direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring NIH, ACLS, and BLS certifications along with at least one year of experience and one completed travel assignment.

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience with at least 1 completed travel assignment
• Must be able to start IVs, insert foley catheters, and insert NG tubes
• Experience performing EKGs and managing heparin drips required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios and high patient turnover preferred

Responsibilities

• Medical Surgical Combination unit within an acute care hospital setting
• 48-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio and high patient turnover
• 7A-7P shift schedule with every other weekend required
• Rare floating to inpatient rehab or ER on an as-needed basis
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Paragon EHR system
• Provide direct patient care on a busy Medical Surgical unit within a Joint Commission accredited hospital
• Facility features the region's largest and most comprehensive ED and Free Standing ED along with an advanced ICU and PCU
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
