American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment in the United States. Requires AR or compact RN license and 1-2 years of recent acute care experience. Night shift runs 6:30 PM–6:30 AM with every other weekend at minimum.

Responsibilities include inpatient Med/Surg care in a 170-bed facility, adult/geriatric patients, and use of Meditech EHR. Benefits include housing allowance and travel/licensure reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (AR state license or compact) required.
• CPR certification required.
• AHA certifications required.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• Current state licensure required at time of consideration.

• Occasional low census call requirements, no more than once per month.
• Assess, plan, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for assigned patients during each shift.
• Supervise and assign duties to LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and Unit Clerks.

• Occasional low census call requirements, no more than once per month, though this typically affects regular staff rather than travelers
• Assess, plan, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for assigned patients throughout each shift
• Supervise and assign duties to LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and Unit Clerks based on patient acuity and staff proficiency
• Administer medications and treatments including IV meds, blood products, and patient-controlled analgesia
• Document patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes per policy
• Respond appropriately to emergency and life‑threatening situations
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel position
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
