American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in Washington. Requires 2+ years of Med/Surg experience and an active WA state or compact RN license.

Responsibilities include caring for a 28-bed unit with a 1:4-5 patient ratio, titrating insulin and heparin drips, and floating across facilities as needed. Telemetry is monitored remotely and EPIC EMR is used.

Formación

• Active WA state or compact RN license required; pending licenses not accepted.
• BLS certification required.
• 2+ years of Med/Surg experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Ability to read telemetry strips preferred.
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration.
• Two professional references: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one from the last 3 years.

Responsabilidades

• Acute Med/Surg unit with 28 beds.
• Nurse to patient ratio 1:4-5.
• Care for general medical patients incl. sepsis, COPD, obstructions, CHF.
• Night shift schedule 1800-0630.
• Weekend and holiday coverage required.
• Titrate insulin and heparin drips.
• Telemetry monitored remotely via Ascom app.
• CNA support 1:10–14.
• EPIC EMR used; floating across Region I facilities.

Requirements

• Active WA state or compact RN license required; pending licenses not accepted
• BLS certification required
• 2+ years of related Med/Surg experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Ability to read telemetry strips preferred
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility

Responsibilities

• Acute care Med/Surg unit with 28 beds
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5
• General medical patient population including sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, and CHF
• Night shift schedule (1800-0630)
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Required to titrate insulin and heparin drips
• No dedicated tele monitor techs on unit; telemetry monitored remotely and accessible via Ascom app
• CNA support at a ratio of 1 CNA to 10-14 patients
• RT equipment limited to CPAP and established BiPAP
• EPIC EMR used
• Floating required, with priority as first to float across Region I facilities (St. Anne Hospital - Burien, Virginia Mason Medical Center - Seattle, and this facility)
• No charge nurse or house supervisor taking patient assignments
• Provide direct patient care for general medical patients requiring drip titration and monitoring
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• Professional colored scrubs permitted; no specific dress code restrictions
• Standby/float coverage expected when not needed on home unit
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
