Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift at a rehabilitation medical center in Washington. WA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of RN experience are required, along with BLS and Epic charting experience.

You will work 3x12 hour nights (19:00-07:00) with 1:6-8 patient ratios, weekend shifts, and possible unit floats. Epic EMR is used for charting; scrubs of any color are accepted across all units.

Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
• Skilled in respiratory care including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• Experience with rapid response/code team protocols

Responsibilities

• Medical Surgical unit within a rehabilitation teaching hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Patient ratios of 1:6-8
• Weekend shifts required, minimum every other weekend
• Floating required between units and possibly sister facilities nearby
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Scrubs of any color accepted across all units
• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg setting, including emergency response and rapid response team support
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius or accept a lower bill rate if local
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside the 50-mile radius
• Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-submission requests may not be granted
