Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele assignment in Washington. Requires a WA or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, 1 year RN experience, and Epic EMR proficiency.

First-time travelers are welcome to apply and must meet licensing and credentialing requirements. The role places you in a critical access hospital setting with MS/Tele duties, 7:00–19:00 day shifts and 19:00–07:00 night shifts, 3x12 hours, with weekend requirements and holiday commitments.

Qualifications

• Active WA license or compact license in hand at submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, and port access/management
• Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, oxygen administration, and ABG interpretation
• Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation/management and rapid response involvement
• Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment in last 3 years
• Full SSN and DOB required for submission

Responsibilities

• Critical access hospital setting with 23 beds on MS/Tele unit
• Patient ratios 1:4-5
• Uses Epic for charting
• Day and Night shifts 7:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00, 3x12 hours
• Weekends required, minimum every other weekend
• Floating between contracted facility and nearby sister hospital
• No on-call responsibilities
• Provide med/surg telemetry nursing care in a critical access hospital
• Scrubs may be any color for RN staff
• No parking fee at this facility
• Must work 3 of 5 major holidays
• Submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront
• Prev permanent staff must wait 3 months before traveling again and stay outside 50-mile radius
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Disclose prior Providence facility history (perm, travel, or per-diem)

• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
