• Must reside within 50 miles or meet local hiring terms
• Holiday coverage expected during assignment
• RTO limited; must be approved before start
• First-time travelers welcome; former staff separated for 5+ years may apply

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift float position requiring 3+ years of experience and SC or compact RN licensure.

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) required at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (preferred)
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Two supervisory references required

Responsibilities

• Medical Surgical unit with float responsibilities within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15)
• Every other weekend required
• On-call requirement of 2 shifts every 4 weeks
• Must be comfortable caring for occasional critical care patients
• Provide nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including occasional critical care cases
• Float assignments may include nearby affiliate hospitals
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius or qualify under local hiring terms
• Holiday coverage expected during the assignment
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with no time off requested during the first two weeks of the assignment; all RTO must be approved prior to start
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 5 years to be eligible
