Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Float Pool RN with 2+ years of experience and SC or compact licensure to support multiple MS and Tele units in Anderson, SC.

The role includes floating to several MS/Telemetry units, maintaining a 1:6 patient ratio, and working 3x12 hour day shifts (6:45 AM–7:15 PM) with every-other-weekend coverage. Epic EMR experience is required for charting and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Active SC or compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Experience with IV therapy, central line(peripheral) care, and starting/maintaining IVs.
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience managing CVA, neurological/psychiatric, respiratory and renal failure patients
• Oxygen administration and nasal cannula experience

Responsibilities

• Float pool position on 4 North.
• Patient ratio 1:6.
• Day shift 3x12 hours (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM).
• Float to other MS units and across 5 MS and 4 Tele units as needed.
• Every other weekend.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Provide nursing care across Med/Surg and Telemetry units as part of a resource float pool.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius rule.
• Former staff RNs at this facility are not eligible to return as travelers.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration.
