Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift in Medford, OR. Candidates must hold a compact RN license and an Oregon RN license, with at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience and Epic charting experience.

Responsibilities include working 3x12 hour nights (19:00–07:00), staying within 1:4 or 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios, floating between units, and willingness to work some holidays. Travel rate may require residency distance criteria.

Qualifications

• Epic charting experience required.
• Skills include IV therapy/phlebotomy, port access, peri-pherals, chest tube, oxygen, bladder irrigation, heparin/PCA, PPE.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a short-term acute care hospital.
• Night shift schedule 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00.
• Patient ratios 1:4 or 1:5; floating between units.
• May be placed on call and must cover 3 of 5 major holidays.
• Scrubs allowed in RN/Allied staff; travel norms apply.
• Candidates must reside >50 miles from facility for travel rate.

Job description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night-shift position requiring a compact RN license, OR RN license, and at least 1 year of recent experience.

Requirements

• Active compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
• OR RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, port access/management, peripheral line care, chest tube management, oxygen administration, continuous bladder irrigation, heparin and PCA medication administration, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with telemetry, surgical drains, orthopedics, and total joint replacement preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and rapid response/code team protocols
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be accepted at the travel rate, though local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
• Former Providence permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• May be required to float between sister facilities within the region
• Scrubs may be any color for RN/Allied staff
