Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment in Texas. The role requires 2+ years of Med/Surg experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Requirements include an active TX or compact RN license, current BLS and ACLS, NIHSS and Nursys documentation. You will work in a Medical Surgical unit on a night schedule, floating between MS units, with 84 hours biweekly and a 72-hour guarantee.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Med/Surg experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS and Nursys documentation required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in Medical Surgical unit setting.
• Night shift schedule 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM with 3x12 or 4x12 hours.
• Scheduled for 84 hours biweekly with a 72 hour guarantee.
• Required to float between MS units.
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred.
• Residence outside a 50 mile radius; local candidates not accepted.
• Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screen with marijuana testing; a positive result cancels.
• RTO must be submitted with application or before accepting offer.
• License must be in-hand prior to start date.
• Clinicians must complete required lab work within 72 hours of offer.
• Orientation includes 2-3 hours of modules in first 16 hours.

• Night shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Scheduled for 84 hours biweekly with a 72 hour guarantee
• Required to float between MS units
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted
• Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with a positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
• RTO must be submitted with the application or finalized prior to accepting an offer
• License must be in-hand prior to start date
• Clinicians must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer
• Orientation includes 2-3 hours of modules completed within the first 16 hours
