Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week day shift assignment in Oklahoma. Requires 5+ years of L&D experience, compact or OK RN license, and certifications ACLS, BLS, NRP. Meditech charting and fetal monitoring skills are essential.

Travel experience preferred. Day shift 7:00 AM–7:00 PM with orientation included. Responsibilities include triage, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care, plus support for vaginal and cesarean deliveries.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact or OK) in hand
• Minimum 5 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
• Meditech charting experience strongly preferred
• Fetal monitoring proficiency including external/internal monitoring and IUPC
• Experience with vaginal and C-section deliveries, high-risk care, hemorrhage/shock management
• Medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, antihypertensives, insulin drips
• Neonatal care with APGAR scoring and resuscitation
• Postpartum care including fundus/lochia/perineum care and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Travel experience preferred; two professional references; copy of driver’s license and SS card required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit providing labor, delivery, postpartum, and triage care
• Facility supports L&D, LDRP, Level I Nursery, and Mother/Baby units
• Facility averages fewer than 100 births per month
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Uses Meditech charting system
• Perform labor and delivery nursing duties including triage, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care
• Responsible for fetal monitoring and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Assist with surgical procedures such as cervical cerclage, D&C, and tubal ligation as needed
• Provide breastfeeding and lactation support following baby-friendly protocols
• Participate in facility orientation modules, which are non-billable and included as part of onboarding
• Holiday RTO requests will not be approved for this position
• Travel pairs accepted for this assignment
