American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery with charge nurse responsibilities and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification. The role requires active Texas RN licensure, 2+ years in L&D, and current BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications. RNC and Meditech experience are a plus.

The position is hospital-based with night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM), four weekend shifts per month, and no on-call duties. Travel requirements and housing allowances are part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active TX RN license required; compact license not accepted.
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience required.
• Charge nurse experience required and willingness to lead.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN).
• RNC certification preferred; Meditech experience preferred.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months.

Responsabilités

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a 12-bed hospital facility.
• Maintain patient ratio of 2:1 and circulate C-section procedures.
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM; four weekend shifts monthly.
• No on-call requirements; floating as needed.
• Unit supported by a unit tech and a unit secretary; uses Meditech.
• Facility provides scrubs; maintain professional appearance with neutral nails and natural hair.
• Visible body art covered when feasible; no visible piercings except ears.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius; local candidates not considered.
