Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in California. A CA RN license, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and at least 2 years of L&D experience are required; Epic EMR experience is essential.

The role features a night shift (1900-0730) with 36 or 48 hours per week, no on-call, and housing plus per diem support. Candidates with disciplinary actions will not be considered.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required.
• Must be strong in maternal and neonatal stabilization.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• OR scrub experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) model unit.
• Baby Friendly designated unit with a Level I newborn nursery (no NICU on site).
• Night shift, 1900-0730, rotating 36 or 48 hours per week.
• No call requirements.
• Uses Epic, GE Centricity, and Keriton charting systems.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as part of a collaborative care team.
• Coordinate, manage, and delegate patient care responsibilities.
• Participate in shared governance and hospital committees.
• Adhere to all applicable professional, regulatory, and hospital policies.
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered.
• Candidates with a prior disciplinary action on their license will not be considered.
• No radius restriction, with local candidates paid at the same rate as travelers.
