American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring high-risk L&D experience and a WA or compact RN license.

The role demands 2 years of L&D experience, active certifications (ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP), and Epic charting proficiency. You will float between units in a Level II center, with 3x12-hour nights and some weekends, plus housing and travel reimbursements.

Competenze

• WA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with high-risk L&D, Antepartum, and maternal emergencies
• IV therapy, blood products, central line maintenance, cardiac monitoring
• Labor/delivery procedures including amnioinfusion, C-section circulation/scrub, vaginal delivery assistance
• Care for HELLP, preeclampsia, placenta previa, substance abuse
• Fetal monitoring (external/internal) and IUPC placement
• Two supervisory references within last 3 years

Mansioni

• Labor and Delivery unit within a short-term acute care Level II Trauma Center teaching hospital
• Night shift 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00
• Some weekend shifts required
• Floating between units
• No on-call responsibilities
• Labor 1:2 and Antepartum 1:3
• Cares for high-risk L&D and Antepartum patients including preeclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC
• Manages active labor including induction/augmentation and maternal emergencies
• Uses Epic charting system
• Provide comprehensive care across Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and Postpartum settings
• Support high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, and maternal/neonatal emergencies
• Perform antepartum assessments including NSTs, oxytocin challenge tests, fetal monitoring
• Assist newborn care including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and discharge teaching
• Must commit to 3 of 5 major holidays
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius for travel rate eligibility
• Former permanent staff may return after 3 months, if outside radius
• Travelers may float between sister facilities

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required

• Experience with high-risk Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and maternal emergency management required
• Skilled in IV therapy, blood product administration, central line maintenance, and cardiac monitoring
• Experience with labor and delivery procedures including amnioinfusion, C-section circulation/scrub, and vaginal delivery assistance
• Experience caring for patients with conditions such as HELLP syndrome, pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and substance abuse
• Knowledge of fetal monitoring including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required

Responsibilities

• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Some weekend shifts required
• Floating between units required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Labor patient ratio of 1:2 and Antepartum ratio of 1:3
• Cares for high-risk Labor and Delivery and Antepartum patients including pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, and VBAC/TOLAC cases
• Manages active labor including induction/augmentation and maternal emergencies
• Uses Epic charting system
• Provide comprehensive care across Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and Postpartum settings
• Support high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, and maternal/neonatal emergencies
• Perform antepartum assessments including non-stress tests, oxytocin challenge tests, and fetal heart monitoring
• Assist with newborn care including APGAR scoring, thermoregulation, and discharge teaching
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; minimal RTO flexibility after offer
• First-time travelers welcome to apply given independent L&D experience
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility for travel rate eligibility
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the health system
