Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for Labor and Delivery in Washington. Requires WA or compact RN licensure, EPIC charting experience, and 3+ years in a high-volume L&D unit. Certifications ACLS/BLS/NRP are required; travel nursing experience is preferred.

Magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, C-section care, and high-risk OB experience are essential. Ideal candidates will be skilled in fetal monitoring, APGAR scoring, and neonatal support, with flexibility for 3x12 night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit.

• Floating to Post-Partum as needed by patient care needs.
• Utilize EPIC charting system.
• Manage high-risk OB cases and neonatal care as required.
• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care from antepartum to postpartum.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring WA or compact licensure and EPIC charting experience.

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of L&D experience in a unit with comparable volume and acuity
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
• Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM
• EPIC charting experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Skilled in Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, and C-Section circulating/scrubbing/recovery
• Experience assisting with high-risk deliveries, vaginal deliveries, and forceps/vacuum extractions
• Experience with fetal monitoring, including EFM and IUPC placement
• Previous charge experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit
• 3x12 Night shift schedule, 18:45-07:15
• No block scheduling; must be flexible
• Floating to Post-Partum unit required based on patient care needs
• Experience with Magnesium Sulfate drips and C-Sections required
• Uses EPIC charting system
• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum, delivery, and postpartum management
• Care for high-risk OB patients including pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, VBAC, and multiple gestation cases
• Support neonatal care in the delivery room, including APGAR scoring and newborn assessments
• Required modules completed during orientation and signed off by facility managers
• RTO limited to a maximum of 5 days per assignment, and must be disclosed at time of consideration
• Travel pairs accepted
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as non-local travelers
• Former staff must be separated from the facility or system for at least 1 year before being considered for a travel assignment
