Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery in Massachusetts. Requires 2+ years of circulating L&D experience, an active MA RN license, and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Night shifts offer 36–48 hours per week with options for 3x12-hour or 2x12+2x8-hour schedules. BLS/ACLS/NRP and intermediate EFM are required, with exemptions accepted with documentation. Local candidates within 50 miles may receive a reduced rate.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required (temporary license accepted).
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required.
• Circulating experience required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
• Recent EFM certification at least intermediate level required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Medical and religious COVID exemptions accepted if documentation provided at time of consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Birthing Unit of a hospital setting.
• Night shift schedule with flexible hours of 36, 40, or 48 hours per week.
• 36-hour schedule consists of 3x12-hour night shifts from 7pm-7:30am.
• 40-hour schedule consists of 2x12-hour night shifts (7pm-7am) plus 2x8-hour shifts.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Provide nursing care in the Labor and Delivery/Birthing Unit.
• Preferred but not required certifications include ALSO, NCC Perinatal Certifications (Maternal Newborn Nursing Level I, Postpartum or Inpatient Obstetric Nursing), and First Latch breastfeeding certification.
• Blue scrubs recommended though no strict color requirement.
• No more than 7 days of RTO allowed during the assignment.
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate within 50 miles of the facility.
• Former permanent staff are not eligible to return as travelers at this facility.
