American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Labor & Delivery Perinatal Float Pool position requiring 2 years of combined L&D and Postpartum experience and an active CA RN license.

Details

• Perinatal Float Pool role requiring cross-training and rotation among Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and LDRP units
• 13-week assignment on night shift (3x12, 19:00-7:30)
• Must be available for one additional overtime shift per 2 weeks (7 shifts total) based on unit needs
• No blocked or self-scheduling; manager provides a minimum of 2 weeks' notice for schedule changes
• May float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census and unit requirements
• Epic charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required; Advanced NRP is a hard requirement
• AWHONN Advanced/Intermediate and BSN certifications preferred
• 2 years of combined Labor & Delivery and Postpartum experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience required
• At least 1 year of full-time equivalent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will be screened
• Must pass EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)
• 2 professional references required, including at least one supervisor/manager reference from the relevant unit within the past year
• Full 7-year work history with any gaps explained

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include labor and delivery management, high-risk antepartum and postpartum care, newborn care, and assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Care for patients with high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, HELLP syndrome, and multiple gestation
• Perform fetal monitoring, IUPC placement, and administration of medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
• Teaching hospital environment
• No RTO permitted during the first 3 weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Previous UCSD employees must have prior approval before starting the assignment
• Must be gone at least 1 year before returning as a traveler if previously employed at the facility

Pay

• $2,790/wk
• Assignment Total (13 Weeks): $36,268
• Annual Equivalent (52 Weeks): $145,073
• Weekly Wages: $1,288/wk
• Regular Hours: $25.00 x 24 hours/wk = $600
• OT Hours: $57.33 x 12 hours/wk = $688
• Weekly Stipends: $1,502/wk
• Lodging: $146.54 x 7 days = $1,026
• Meals & Incidentals: $68.00 x 7 days = $476
• In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $2,511 - $2,790. The $2,790 weekly pay listed in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range.
