Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery on the night shift in Minnesota. The candidate should have 2+ years of L&D experience and a current MN RN license, with BLS, ACLS, NRP, and electronic fetal monitoring certification.
The role includes 3x12-hr night shifts, a 13-week contract, and comprehensive patient care across antepartum, delivery, and postpartum stages. Wages are competitive at $2,362 per week with lodging and meals included.

- Basic Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required.
- Workplace Violence education required.
- 2–5 years of Labor and Delivery experience required.
- Meditech charting experience required.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages.
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-section recovery, and neonatal resuscitation in the delivery room.
- Administer medications such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate.
- Support breastfeeding and lactation and follow baby-friendly protocols.
- Manage pain interventions including epidural anesthesia and opioid administration.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position on night shift, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and current MN RN licensure.
- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
- Patient population includes antepartum, labor & delivery, LDRP, Level I nursery, and mother/baby care
- 13-week contract assignment
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
- Active RN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing required
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NRP
- Basic Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required
- Workplace Violence education required
- 2 to 5 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Meditech charting experience required
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administration of blood and blood products
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency care, including adult and neonatal arrest
- Experience with high-risk OB conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and VBAC management
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement
- STABLE certification preferred
- Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-section recovery, and neonatal resuscitation in the delivery room
- Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives as needed
- Support breastfeeding and lactation, and follow baby-friendly protocols
- Manage pain interventions including epidural anesthesia and opioid administration
- Care for patients experiencing postpartum hemorrhage, multiple births, and pregnancy-induced hypertension
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
- No set policy restricting return staff from applying
- First-time travelers may be considered as travel experience is not required
