Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Michigan. Must hold an active Michigan RN license and have Level 1 L&D experience with at least 2 years in the related units.

This 12-hour night shift assignment is at a 288-bed tertiary teaching hospital with Level II trauma capabilities. Local traveler status applies within 35 miles, reducing travel pay by 10%. First-time travelers are not considered.

• Minimum 2 years in Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery with Level 1 experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, AWHONN

Responsibilities

• Care for labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery patients
• Night shift schedule (12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Must reside within 35 miles for local traveler status (reduces travel pay by 10%)
• No special schedule requests
• First-time travelers not considered
• Maximum of 5 days RTO; >7 days or >50% holidays may delay processing

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required at time of submission
• Compact licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery with Level 1 experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN
• Cannot be working another job concurrently with this assignment

Responsibilities

• Family Birthing Unit within a 288-bed tertiary teaching hospital and Level II Trauma Center
• Cares for labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery patients with Level 1 experience required
• Night shift schedule (12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Must reside within a 35-mile radius to qualify for local traveler status, which reduces travel pay rate by 10%
• No special schedule requests accommodated
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Maximum of 5 days RTO can be requested
• Candidates requesting more than 7 days off or more than 50% of holidays off may experience delayed processing
