Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift contract in Maine. The role requires at least 2 years of acute care experience and current ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.

The selected nurse will work on an OB unit with antepartum to post-op gyn patients and provide holistic, individualized care. The position is a 13-week contract with night shifts and holiday coverage, offering benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, weekly payroll

Qualifications

• Active RN license (ME or compact) currently in hand.
• Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), and STABLE certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years acute care RN experience.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate.

Responsibilities

• Work on an OB unit caring for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gyn patients.
• Night shift schedule.
• 13-week contract assignment.
• Provide holistic, individualized nursing care under the supervision of the charge nurse.
• Manage unit supplies and equipment and promote teamwork with physicians and hospital staff.
• Independently assess, plan, implement, and evaluate assigned patient care.
• Adhere to Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA.
• Complete general nursing and unit orientation prior to starting.
• Holiday coverage required.
