Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN for a night shift assignment in Maryland. The role requires high-risk L&D background and C-EFM certification through NCC; a Maryland or Compact RN license is required. Prior travel experience is preferred.

You will work 3×12 hour nights (19:00–07:30) with every other weekend and holiday. Responsibilities include labor and delivery care, fetal monitoring, C-section circulation, and call duties; supervisory references are required.

Qualifications

• Active MD RN license or Compact RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and C-EFM through NCC certifications required.
• 2 years of recent L&D experience within the last 7 years.
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit assignment.
• Care for high-risk L&D patient population.
• Night shift: 3×12 hours, 19:00–07:30.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
• Float within skillset to Mom/Baby and postpartum units.
• Call 36 hours per 6 weeks (or 12 hours per pay period); on-call within 45 minutes of facility.

Requirements

• Active MD RN license or Compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and C-EFM (through NCC) certifications required
• 2 years of recent L&D experience required within the last 7 years
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Charge and/or preceptor experience required
• Circulate and FHM (fetal heart monitoring) skills required
• Triage experience preferred
• Two supervisory references required, including one from most recent assignment
• Must support at least 2 years of experience within the previous 3 years

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery unit assignment
• High-risk L&D patient population
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Float required within skillset to units such as Mom/Baby and postpartum
• Call required (36 hrs per 6 weeks or 12 hrs per pay period), must be within 45 minutes of facility when on call
• Provide labor and delivery nursing care including high-risk delivery support and C-section circulation
• Perform fetal monitoring including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Conduct antepartum care, procedures, and obstetrical triage
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
