Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery in a hospital setting on the night shift. A minimum of two years L&D experience and intermediate fetal monitoring certification are required.

The role requires an active NC or Compact RN license, NRP and BLS certifications, and familiarity with couplet care and LDRP. NICU exposure is advantageous, with a dynamic schedule including 7pm-7am shifts and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required.
• Experience in couplet care and LDRP; some NICU exposure.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery care in the OB/GYN Combined unit.
• Deliver couplet care and LDRP; NICU exposure as needed.
• Maintain patient ratios per AWHONN guidelines.
• Utilize GE Centricity/Paragon EHR system.
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• 5–6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule.
• No scheduled call; may float to task/secretary duties if needed.
• Work at a Joint Commission accredited, Duke Lifepoint hospital with an 'A' LeapFrog rating.
• Facility features the region's largest and most comprehensive ED and Free Standing ED, with an advanced ICU and PCU.
• Facility has 205 licensed beds.
• Travel rate eligibility requires residence 60 miles or more from the facility.
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at LifePoint facilities in the last 12 months are not eligible.
• Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full time.

• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required at minimum, advanced accepted if current
• Experience in couplet care and LDRP required
• Some NICU experience required

• Work in the OB/GYN Combined unit of a hospital with 16 beds
• Provides labor and delivery care including couplet care and LDRP, with some NICU exposure
• Patient ratios per AWHONN guidelines
• Uses GE Centricity/Paragon EHR system
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 5-6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week schedule
• No scheduled call, but flexes down based on unit census and staff rotation
• Floating not required, but may float to task/secretary duties if needed
• Work at a Joint Commission accredited, Duke Lifepoint hospital with an 'A' LeapFrog Hospital Safety Rating
• Facility features the region's largest and most comprehensive ED and Free Standing ED, along with an advanced ICU and PCU
• Facility has 205 licensed beds
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate consideration
