Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN for Labor & Delivery on a night shift at a 15-bed LDRP unit in Nevada. Active NV RN license and 2+ years L&D experience required, along with BLS/NRP/ACLS and fetal monitoring credentials.

Responsibilities include LDRP with neonatal care, postpartum/postpartum care, and work within an AWHONN-guided team. Travel rate requires residency >60 miles from the facility; weekly orientations are provided.

Qualifications

• Active NV RN license required.
• Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications required.
• Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Experience with SVD (no VBAC) and cesarean section required.
• Experience in OB triage, nonstress testing, postpartum, and nursery care required.
• Experience managing hemorrhages, fetal monitoring interventions, and pre-eclampsia/eclampsia/hypertensive crisis patients required.
• AHA certifications required.
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration.
• Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration.

• LDRP unit providing Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Triage, Postpartum, and Nursery care.
• 15-bed unit with 6 L&D beds and 9 Postpartum beds.
• Level 1 nursery with postpartum couplet care.
• Patient population includes adults and newborns.
• Common diagnoses include antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, pre-eclampsia, cesarean section, inductions, and neonatal hyperbilirubinemia.
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN standards.
• Equipment used includes Omnicell, Baxter Pumps, Masimo Monitors, and GE Centricity FHR monitoring.
• EHR system used is Centricity/MEDHOST.
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• Every other weekend required.
• No call requirements.
• Floating to Med/Surg and Psych as needed.
• Provide comprehensive care across L&D, recovery, triage, postpartum, and nursery.
• Manage newborn care and hyperbilirubinemia treatment.
• Team environment values knowledgeable, flexible, hardworking team players.
• Street clothes not acceptable.
• Must reside >60 miles from facility for travel rate.
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at LifePoint facility within last 12 months.
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment.

• Manage newborn care and procedures including hyperbilirubinemia treatment

• Street clothes are not acceptable attire
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
