Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with at least 5 years of recent L&D, postpartum, and newborn experience and AWHONN Advanced FHM certification.

The role involves working in L&D, postpartum rooms, and BFHI baby-with-mom rooms, with a typical unit average of 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month. You may serve as charge nurse after training, work 12-hour day shifts, and be flexible for weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Active AZ or compact RN license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of recent L&D, postpartum, and newborn experience required.
• RNC-EFM certification may substitute for AWHONN Advanced FHM.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in L&D, postpartum, and newborn rooming-in settings.
• Unit averages 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month.
• May serve as charge nurse after completing charge nurse training.
• 12-hour day shift schedule; able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• May float to other qualified departments and handle call lights and phones.
• Use RPMS EMR system.
• Holiday coverage required.

• Additional experience may be required in some cases
• Current certifications required: AHA ACLS or ALSO, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced FHM
• RNC-EFM certification may substitute for AWHONN Advanced FHM

Responsibilities

• Work in L&D, postpartum rooms, and BFHI baby-with-mom rooms

• May occasionally serve as charge nurse after completing charge nurse training
• 12-hour day shift schedule
• Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• May float to other qualified departments, including taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones
• Uses RPMS EMR system
• Provide nursing care across L&D, postpartum, and newborn rooming-in settings
• Holiday coverage required
