Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for Labor & Delivery in Tennessee. Certifications in AWHONN, NRP, ACLS, BLS are required together with fetal monitoring skills. Shift is nights in a critical access hospital with 1:2 patient ratio and 7 PM–7 AM hours.

Travel rate applies for eligible candidates living 60 miles or more from the facility; local candidates receive local rate. Prior LifePoint staff in last 12 months and full-time employment elsewhere disqualify applicants.

Qualifications

• Active TN or compact RN license is required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, and NRP.
• Minimum 1 year Labor and Delivery experience.
• Fetal monitoring experience required.
• Couplet care experience preferred.
• Centricity and Meditech experience preferred but not required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• TN Abuse Registry check required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Critical access hospital setting covering Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum units.
• Unit includes 2 labor beds and 3 postpartum beds.
• Patient population consists of maternity women and newborns.
• Patient ratio of 1:2.
• Uses Meditech EHR.
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• Every other weekend rotation, as needed.
• Call requirement of 3 twelve-hour shifts per 4-week schedule.
• Floating required as needed.
• Provide nursing care across L&D, Nursery, and Postpartum units.
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays.
• Scrubs of any color accepted; casual attire not permitted.
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate.
• Local candidates within 60 miles are eligible at the local rate.
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months.
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time.
