Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a travel assignment requiring TN or compact RN licensure and AWHONN certification. The role supports a Level III Trauma Center's L&D/Nursery/Postpartum unit with a 5-bed maternity area.

Responsibilities include circulating during C-sections, fetal monitoring, and direct care of maternity patients and newborns. Night shift 7 PM–7 AM, every-other-weekend rotation, and on-call duties are required; housing/travel reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

Active TN or compact RN license required
ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
Minimum 1 year Labor & Delivery experience required
Fetal monitoring experience required
TN Abuse Registry check required prior to start

Responsibilities

Work in the Labor & Delivery/Nursery/Postpartum unit of a Level III Trauma Center
5-bed Labor & Delivery unit caring for maternity patients and newborns
Patient ratios of 1:1 for patients on Pitocin and 1:2 otherwise
Circulate during C-sections; facility performs its own cesareans
Uses OB TraceVue for fetal strip charting and Meditech for EHR documentation
Night shift schedule 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Every other weekend rotation; additional weekend hours as needed
Floating required as needed
On-call requirement of 2 shifts within a 6-week period
Provide direct patient care to maternity patients and newborns

Couplet care, PALS, and Centricity experience preferred but not required
Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to start
