Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Michigan. Requires MI RN license and at least 2 years of L&D experience, with ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN NCC/C-EFM credentials.

The role includes night shifts on a 15-bed LDRP unit, travel and float duties, and Epic documentation. Travel contract up to 26 weeks, locals welcomed, benefits include insurance, 401(k), weekly pay, and CEU access.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D experience.
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and either AWHONN Intermediate or NCC C-EFM.
• AWHONN Advanced certification preferred.
• Required skills: circulating and FHM triage.
• Scrub skill preferred.
• Supervisor-level reference required.
• Proof of flu vaccination required or exemption submitted within 48 hours of signing.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30).
• Every other weekend required.
• Float to all areas of LDRP and to the house as a sitter when needed.
• Float to Bronson Methodist (27 miles away) when needed and census allows.
• Follow AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios; document in Epic.
• Train on newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 Machine.
• Provide antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nurse, newborn nurse at delivery, and couplet care.
• Perform newborn labs and hearing screens.
• RTO restrictions: no RTO during first 8 days; max 10 days total.

• Contracts of up to 26 weeks offered, with longer contracts possibly considered
