Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking a Travel RN for a Labor & Delivery assignment in Maryland. You will provide dedicated labor, delivery, and postpartum care in a magnet hospital setting.
The role requires an active RN license (MD or Compact), C-EFM, and BLS/NRP/STABLE certifications, with 3 years of L&D experience preferred. Prior travel experience is required. Expect nights, 36 hours per week, and a 13-week assignment beginning Sep 29, 2026.
Qualifications
- Active RN license (MD or Compact) required.
- Required certifications: C-EFM (NCC), BLS, NRP, STABLE.
- ACLS preferred.
- 3 years of L&D experience preferred, 2 years with strong experience considered.
- 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required.
- Cerner charting system experience preferred.
- Charge experience preferred.
- Scrub experience preferred.
- Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment.
- Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive L&D nursing care including labor management, delivery assistance, and postpartum care.
- Perform fetal monitoring and recognize/treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
- Administer medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives as needed.
- Support high-risk antepartum and postpartum patients including cesarean and multiple births.
- Assist with neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and thermoregulation.

- Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Call required: 2 shifts per 6-week schedule
- Every other weekend required
- Floating expected to Mother/Baby or other qualified units when needed
- Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
- Required certifications: C-EFM (NCC), BLS, NRP, STABLE

The weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, reflects the lower end of this range for local candidates and higher end of this range for travel candidates. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
