Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with CT/compact license and community hospital experience for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Responsibilities include critical care nursing for adult ICU patients, ventilator management, and cardiac monitoring. Requires active CT/Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 3+ years ICU experience in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license CT state or Compact, currently in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS; CPI, NIHSS, TNCC preferred.
• Minimum 3 years ICU experience; community hospital experience required.
• Cerner charting experience preferred; dysrhythmia interpretation experience beneficial.
• Experience with pulmonary artery line/swan-ganz monitoring, central line care, IV therapy, and ventilator management.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing to adult ICU patients including ventilator management and cardiac monitoring.
• Manage titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips as needed.
• Work in the ICU of a community hospital with a 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM–7:30 PM).
• Care for adult patient population; float to MS/Tele and Tele units within scope of practice.
• Adhere to infection prevention and PPE protocols; use SBAR communication.

Requirements

• Active RN license (CT state or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• CPI, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications preferred
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring experience
• Central line care and management experience
• IV therapy and starting IV experience
• Care of ventilated patients and ventilator management experience

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU of a community hospital
• Adult patient population
• 12-hour day shift schedule (7:00 AM-7:30 PM), 3x12 or 36 hours accepted
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required to MS/Tele and Tele units within scope of practice
• Uses Accudose medication system, Cerner documentation, and SBAR communication
• Blue scrubs required
• Provide critical care nursing to adult ICU patients including ventilator management and cardiac monitoring
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as needed
• Apply infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE protocols
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
