Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in a high-acuity environment. The role requires rotation between day and night shifts and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.

Active RN license (NC or Compact) and current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI-B certifications are mandatory. BSN/MSN is preferred, with opportunities for professional growth and travel-related benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma/ADN/ASN from an accredited school of nursing required

• Experience with point of care testing and care of patients with complex problems

Responsibilities

• Manage 16-bed adult ICU with ventilated and postoperative patients
• Maintain 1:2 patient ratio; average length of stay 3–7 days
• Rotating day/night shifts on a 6-week cycle (3 weeks days, 3 weeks nights)
• Work 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts; 3 days per week
• Six weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; may work holidays as needed
• Standby call required once per pay period
• Provide competent clinical nursing care in coordination with Nurse Manager/Director
• Participate in education, discharge planning, and multidisciplinary care coordination
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to adjust patient care plans
• Pursue professional growth through clinical ladder and development programs
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
