Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a long-term night shift assignment requiring 18 months of ICU experience and an GA or compact RN license.

The position includes a 4x12-hour night schedule, ventilator management, PICC line experience, and Meditech charting. Travel nursing experience is required, with comprehensive benefits and a generous housing allowance.

Qualifications

• Active GA or Compact RN license in hand.
• Minimum 18 months of ICU experience required.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Experience with ventilator management and IV insertion required.
• PICC line experience required.
• Meditech charting experience required.
• BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at start.

Responsibilities

• ICU unit (4W ICU) setting.
• Night shift (NOC), 4x12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week.
• No on-call requirements.
• Uses Meditech charting system.
• Required to float to other departments across all facilities, including Perry Hospital, based on department rotation.
• Interview process includes Nurse Manager interviews.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted.
• Former Emory or Houston Healthcare permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility.
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days if not falling on or near a holiday, or 3 days if falling on or near a holiday, with only one holiday request allowed.
