Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment in Texas. TX or Compact RN licensure is required, with BLS and ACLS certifications and at least 2 years of recent critical care experience.

The role works in a 27-bed ICU with a 2:1 to 3-4:1 patient ratio, 3x12-hour nights (5:45 PM–6:15 AM). Travel position includes housing allowance and travel reimbursement, with MEDHOST EMR usage.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS.
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience required.
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 27-bed Intensive Care Unit.
• Patient ratio of 2:1 to 3-4:1 depending on acuity.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12s from 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM.
• Call may be required.
• Float to Stepdown unit as needed.
• Uses MEDHOST EMR system.
• Navy scrubs required.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position.
• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week.
• Not eligible if previously worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years.
