Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a hospital assignment in Colorado. Active CO or compact RN license is required and at least 1 year of critical care experience is needed.

Responsibilities include night shifts (3x12hr), 36 hours weekly, and weekend coverage. The role uses Epic, involves possible float and on-call duties, and requires background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Active CO or compact RN license required, no pending license accepted.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA), must not expire prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.
• DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12hr shifts, 1900-0730
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: 7 shifts required within an 8 week period
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic charting system
• Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care
• Performs health teaching, counseling, and therapy supportive to patient well-being
• Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
• Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans
• Background check and drug screen results required, with reporting to lab for drug screen within 24 hours of commitment
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this assignment
