Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift with a 1:2 patient ratio. Candidates should have 2+ years of ICU/critical care experience and be licensed IN or with a compact license. BLS, ACLS and NIHSS are required, with PALS/CCRN/CMSRN/RN-BC preferred.

The role involves Meditech Expanse EMR usage, ventilator management, and traveling between facilities. Local candidates within 80 miles eligible at local rate; travel benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Active IN or compact RN license in-hand before start.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years ICU/critical care experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing in ICU with 1:2 patient ratio.
• Work night shifts (3x12, 18:00-06:00) and rotate holidays.
• Operate in Meditech Expanse EMR and manage vents, drips, and ABGs.
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and travel requirements.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and a 1:2 patient ratio.

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required in-hand prior to start
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• PALS, CCRN, CMSRN, or RN-BC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory care
• Experience managing vasoactive and cardiac drips
• Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU/CCU setting
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule (3x12, 18:00-6:00)
• Labor Day and weekend rotation required
• Floating within scope as needed to meet facility needs
• Meditech Expanse EMR used, experience strongly preferred
• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including those with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Call-outs permitted only if more than a week's notice is given
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within an 80-mile radius
• First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
