Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night-shift travel assignment at a Level IV Trauma Center hospital in Utah. The nurse will work in a 6-bed ICU/PCU, with 1-2 patients per shift and supervision from the ICU Director and ICU Supervisor.

Applicants must hold an active UT or Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years ICU experience. Night shifts run 6 PM to 6 AM, with every other weekend (24 hours total).

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position on night shift requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and a UT or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license (UT or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Work in a 6-bed ICU/PCU unit within a Level IV Trauma Center hospital
• Lifespan patient population with common diagnoses including DKA, hypertensive crisis, COPD exacerbations, and pneumonia
• Patient ratios of 1-2:1
• Night shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Every other weekend required, totaling 24 weekend hours
• Floating required
• No call requirements
• Uses Linet beds and Zoll defibrillators
• Medhost EHR system used
• Provide critical care nursing services to a diverse patient population ranging across the lifespan
• Work under the supervision of the Director and ICU Supervisor
• Monthly orientation held the second full week of the month, Monday through Thursday
• Solid color scrubs required; scrubs are not acceptable as personal attire outside clinical duties
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered for the travel position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates must not be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
