Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift in Colorado. A CO or compact RN license is required, plus at least one year of ICU experience and Epic EMR proficiency. BLS and unit-appropriate ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications are required, with ASN as minimum education and BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start.
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for the unit.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.

• DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting.
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week).
• May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
• May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, including health teaching and counseling.
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide therapy and treatment through direct care, consultation, delegation, or supervision.
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
